Canned Pickled Okra!

What a day. Blessed for all the wonderful garden bounty. But to tell you the truth. If one of those plants would produce anymore veges, I would have had to shoot myself. Here is the Pickled Okra I have made and put up today. (32 Pints, 16 1/2 Quarts!) Tomorrow, we are making homemade Salsa and Spaghetti Sauce. Love to all...



Sterilize Jars in Hot water

in Pint Jar, place 1 clove garlic, 1 tsp. dill and pinch red pepper flakes. Fill jars with clean Okra.

in Large Saucepan, bring 2 cups water, 1 cup Vinegar, 2 Tbl. salt, 1 Tbl. sugar,

Bring to a Boil.

Fill the jars with hot liquid. Seal with sterilized caps and lids.

Place in hot water bath, 1 inch over top of jars and boil for 10 minutes.

You can double, triple the above for how much Okra you have.
