I took a Glass Ornament and Sprayed the Inside with Black Spray Paint and Swirled Around. |
I then Sponged on Silver Spray Paint and Antique Ink to make it look like Old Mercury Glass.
I cut out the Heart Wings on 36 Gauge Copper Foil. I glued Red Seed Beads on the Heart and Flat Back Crystals onto the Wings and around the Ornament.
I then attached an Old Metal Key Ring Chain and Ribbon.
I love my Steampunk Christmas Ornament..
This is so cool! Something you could leave up as an all year round thing.

ReplyDeleteLove it! Can't wait to try that technique on a larger piece of glass! Thanks for sharing!

Really pretty, I love the heart wings all spangled up. And a great technique for faux mercury glass, I want to try that!
