Easy Halloween Art--Crazy Skeletons!

Just a short note today about a cute little Halloween Picture I did.  I took a 4.99 Marshall's Picture Frame and added a piece of Scrapbook Halloween Paper.  Total Cost..about 5.15, and it makes me smile everytime I walk by... Hope you all have a BOO-ti-Ful day!

I love this time of year.Here in the Northern Texas Panhandle, summers are quite toasty. Don't get me wrong..I love summer, but when that cool breeze blows in and the nights and mornings are so cool that you need a jacket..That's awesome. You can feel the earth slowing down and getting ready for it's long winter nap. 

And...We get to DECORATE!! This past weekend I got to get down the fall and Halloween decorations..I had so much Fun! Burned the Pumpkin Spice and Apple Cobbler Candles, put on easy music and spent Sunday Afternoon in the bliss of turning the home into fall. Hope you all find yourselves in the spirit of the Holiday.

Seems like with the cooler temperatures, you feel like doing so much more. This past weekend we harvested the rest of the garden, shredded, tilled and planted winter wheat. Picked all the pumpkins, decorated and cleaned. Even the plants seem to be enjoying the cooler weather. It feels good to be able to sit back and enjoy the cooler days of fall. Hope you all are having a wonderful fall day.

Canned Pickled Okra!

What a day. Blessed for all the wonderful garden bounty. But to tell you the truth. If one of those plants would produce anymore veges, I would have had to shoot myself. Here is the Pickled Okra I have made and put up today. (32 Pints, 16 1/2 Quarts!) Tomorrow, we are making homemade Salsa and Spaghetti Sauce. Love to all...

RECIPE

Sterilize Jars in Hot water

in Pint Jar, place 1 clove garlic, 1 tsp. dill and pinch red pepper flakes. Fill jars with clean Okra.

in Large Saucepan, bring 2 cups water, 1 cup Vinegar, 2 Tbl. salt, 1 Tbl. sugar,

Bring to a Boil.

Fill the jars with hot liquid. Seal with sterilized caps and lids.

Place in hot water bath, 1 inch over top of jars and boil for 10 minutes.

You can double, triple the above for how much Okra you have.

Hello Blogworld! I have put this off for some time now! Just like my Etsy site, created but nothing added. I am working on this! Sigh..why am I such a Procrastinator. But...I do work well under pressure, very well, but life wouldn't be so crazy I don't think if things weren't put off.....................So I am off on this adventure to try and join in this wonderful community of fascinating and oh so creative people. (I'm tired of creeping on people's blogs, I want to join IN~ I will post pictures of some of my creations and this just might get me so inspired! Since I am a new blogger, please give me criticism, only if you are nice about it! Haha....Like Thumper said, "If you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all." I think this is along the lines of what he said, but it has been about 25 years since I've seen that movie.
